Privacy Policy

Last updated: Dec 18, 2025

Our goal is to support visual creators and storytellers. When you engage with our services, you're sharing your information with us, and we take that trust seriously. This Privacy Policy explains what data we gather, the reasons behind it, how we utilize it, and the options available to you. By accessing our website, mobile apps, or interacting with us in any way, you agree to the practices outlined here. For any inquiries, please reach out to us at privacy@designbee.ai.

Information We Collect

Types and categories of data you provide or authorize us to access

When registering for an account, we collect details you submit via forms, such as your name, email, username, and password. We also gather approximate location data from your IP address or device settings to securely create and manage your account.

You can optionally provide demographic details like age, gender, or preferred language to personalize your experience on Designbee.

We collect visual content you upload, such as profile pictures and other images shared on the platform.

With your consent (during app installation or in-app), we may access your device's contact list to assist with finding friends, sending invitations, or sharing content. If you link accounts from Facebook, Instagram, or similar platforms, we may access information like your username or contacts for those purposes. You can revoke this access anytime through those third-party services.

We may collect data about others when you upload or share content featuring them (e.g., names, images, or contact details). With your explicit consent, we might also obtain information about others from third-party social media when you use such login options.

If you sign up via Apple, Google, Facebook, Snapchat, or similar services, we collect authentication details like email and public profile info with your permission.

Technical information collected automatically during use

Standard web and app usage generates certain data automatically:

  • Log data: We record interactions like navigation paths, IP addresses, browser types/settings, timestamps, search queries, popular features, device details, and cookie info. This helps us run the service, ensure security, improve performance, and enhance your experience.
  • Cookie data: We employ cookies and similar tools to gather log data and support operations. See the “Cookies and similar technologies” section for details.
  • Device data: We collect and combine info about your devices and usage patterns.
  • Metadata for visuals: Content metadata (e.g., comments, geotags) is gathered to improve searchability and interactivity. Geotags may include coordinates if you enable them.
  • TrueDepth API: For iOS users applying camera effects, we use Apple’s TrueDepth API in real-time to process facial positioning. This data stays on your device, is not stored persistently, and is not shared with others.
